Are foreigners now involved in insurgency?? Some police officers (Rapid response unit Esir) arrested a man on Saturday, on suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack in Yaounde, ‘Briqueterie’ neighborhood.. Counter reports claim that the man is a tourist.
His car was filled with bags full of explosives. The Briqueterie neighborhood is known for being the area of Yaounde with the larges Muslim population.
Camerounian journalist and traditional ruler, Chief Bisong Etahoben provided details of the arrest through his social media account on Twitter which he is noted to use for reporting about efforts of security agencies to combat Boko Haram terrorists along the Nigeria-Cameroun border.
